A water well consists of a borehole that leads to the aquifer. In order to keep debris such as sand, clay, and unstable rock (things we encounter before we reach the aquifer) out of the well, a steel pipe or well casing is installed. This pipe is usually driven into a consolidated rock formation. The next process requires drilling below the well casing which is in the aquifer. This is where you create the water for the well. The formations that you drill through develop water (such as caverns, cavities, voids in the rock). The depth of the well depends on the formations and how much water is needed to be produced for the pump. We also do commercial and residential well abandonments. We offer on site consultation & free estimates on new wells. |
